🍄 Stay Ahead of the Curve
We recently caught up with our webinar co-host Henry Winslow, founder of Tricycle Day—a newsletter that helps over 60,000 subscribers stay informed about psychedelics in under 10 minutes a week.
We asked Henry: "After interviewing hundreds of experts in the psychedelic industry, what should every microdosing enthusiast know heading into 2025?"
“Microdosing is at an inflection point heading into 2025. For years, there's been a gap between cultural adoption and clinical evidence. But 2024 delivered some of the most compelling data yet. MindBio Therapeutics' clinical trials showed LSD microdosing (taken at home, without supervision) led to significant, lasting reductions in depression. Other studies showed benefits for sleep, mood, and cognitive flexibility, too.
On the other hand, microdosing faced maybe its biggest PR crisis yet when the DiamondShruumz scandal sent dozens to the hospital with seizures. Never mind that lab tests later revealed their products didn't even contain psilocybin. The reputational damage was done and the incident highlighted legitimate risks of an unregulated market.
This tension between mounting evidence and safety concerns—perceived or real—defines the current moment. It's my hope that the Microdosing Collective can work with regulators to establish legal frameworks that thread this needle in 2025. That way, we can increase accessibility while ensuring product safety and quality control.”
