New York Didn't Cross the Finish Line Yet, But We're Close 🍄
Inside: NY Medical Psilocybin Act update, a deep dive into women’s health and psychedelics, plus last chance to enter our $550+ giveaway...

Update on the New York Medical Psilocybin Act 🗽
Psilocybin reform in New York gained significant momentum this year.
The Medical Psilocybin Act is a landmark bill for NY State which would create legal access to psilocybin-assisted therapy for patients facing conditions such as treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, and cluster headaches, received strong bipartisan support and helped advance important conversations among lawmakers, advocates, clinicians, researchers, and patients.
We have been supporting this bill with advocacy and fundraising efforts for the last nine months. Due to budget limitations, this bill didn't make it onto the assembly agenda this session, despite bipartisan support. Although it won’t go through this year, we are incredibly confident about its placement on the Assembly Health Committee agenda next session and will continue building support and strengthening the coalition in the months ahead leading into the next session in January.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported this effort through donations, advocacy, outreach, and encouragement. These funds are vital for us to be able to maintain momentum and confirm this landmark bill NEXT YEAR. Legislative change is often a multi-year process, and the work done this year has helped build a strong foundation.
We’ll continue to keep you in the loop as the work continues... In the meantime, there’s more to explore below from a recent article in DoubleBlind and a last chance to enter our $550+ giveaway!👇

In the Press: Women’s Health and Psychedelics
We’re excited to spotlight our Research Director Stephanie Karzon Abrams and her article in DoubleBlind Magazine: an open letter to clinicians, providers, and researchers on women’s health and psychedelic medicine.
This is a really incredible and important piece advocating for more research into women's health and psychedelics, highlighting the gaps in medicine, and educating on the importance of the psychedelic-informed lens in female health, as well as the integrative, whole person care approach.
“Women’s health should be approached through a psychedelic-informed lens, not as a requirement of practice, but as an expansion of understanding. The nature of the female experience is already one of continual transformation.” - Stephanie Karzon Abrams
