#LegalizePsilocybin in New York 🍄

Imagine a New York where adults can safely access psilocybin 🍄

Last week we gathered with 30+ advocates, donors, and community members in support of New York Assembly Bill A2142, a landmark effort to establish legal psilocybin access.

We’re proud to be working alongside New Yorkers for Mental Health Alternatives to help move this historic bill forward and reimagine what mental health policy can look like in New York.

To make safe psilocybin access possible, this bill includes:

• Establishing a public-health permitting system for adults to acquire, possess, use, or cultivate psilocybin at home.

• Requiring health screenings and a 5-hour safety/education course for informed, low-risk use.

• Allowing personal use for low-dose psilocybin in home environments.

• Encouraging optional support services, including paid, certified facilitators or trip sitters.

• Permitting licensed cultivation and home growing for personal use.
